first move jitters…
Today was a rerun of yesterday with minor changes. IrishMum felt poorly in the morning and IrishWrath had tired legs after skiing yesterday, IrishDoom was still convalescent and IrishCyborg was very eager to ski, so I brought him and left the other four to board games and cabin cleaning duties.

IrishCyborg on the summit (with Bear Lake in the distance behind him)
IrishCyborg and I hit the slopes early, the ski rental queue was really light and we were through very quickly. We did a few runs of the beginners run to help me recall how to ski, then took the express chair lift to the summit for the summit run down. I’ve put a link to the trails map in the blog links.
Then back up and over to chair lift 9 where IrishCyborg found some terrain parks which he loved. We took a hot chocolate break around 10-ish then back out for more. I had a great time, I thought the snow conditions were excellent, and I only fell over twice; once I just lost control and started going downhill way too fast and once when I crossed my skis and couldn’t uncross them as I was headed for a deep ravine (we’re talking at least 3 foot here!). IrishCyborg did really well today, with nice sweeping movements.
We stayed till just before lunch and were both very hungry when we arrived home (to lunch already made) I brought the boys for another ramble in the woods behind the cabin around dinner time, IrishWrath and IrishKing built a fort to defend from snowball attack, IrishDoom and IrishCyborg made snow angels before attacking the snow fort. I tried to remain neutral… like a UN observer mission that occasionally oversteps it’s mandate whenever a suitable snowball throwing opportunity arises.
