Rafael’s Birthday Wish
Meet Rafael. Rafael was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma in July ’08. Stage IV means that the original tumor has spread to distant lymph nodes or other parts of the body. Rafael was stable until 2013, but unfortunately his cancer has progressed. He is undergoing chemo at the moment. Rafael will be turning ten on March 25th, and celebrating with his mum, Natasha, his dad, Domingoes, and his big sister, Gabriela. For his tenth birthday Rafael has asked for cards, lots and lots of birthday cards.

Here is a little look at the cards my boys made for our local hero. Two boys went with a car theme.
One put a ‘Home Made Present’ in his card…I’m guessing it’s origami.
He also used a trade secret closing device.
The other went for a drawing of a plane. He said all boys love planes.
