Meriton, Southport.
You know when you find somewhere to stay that you love so much you don’t want to stay anywhere else? Well the Meriton, Southport is our little piece of home on the Gold Coast, only cleaner, coordinated, and Lego free …for now! We love Meriton so much that for our trip to Sydney last year we tried the Meriton Bondi Junction, and were very pleased with it. If you have a look, you will hardly be able to tell the difference between the two apartments. I like that, I know what to expect in a place.

Our room. I have declared it a kid free zone, and I am thinking about declaring it a man free zone, but then who would bring me my coffee?

Ours, with a bath and shower. I must make some time to relax in the tub this week. I never have baths at home. We have a giant waste-of-space spa bath that takes three hours and 1,000,000 gallons of water to fill, so baths rarely happen. I must remember to get a packet of Epsom Salts today.
The living area is compact, but everything a family of six would need is here.
The kitchen is great, cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, and most importantly… a dishwasher. I cannot live without a dishwasher. I love this little kitchen. I am a very fussy feeder, so I like to cook for us, instead of eating out. Besides, feeding four growing boys in a restaurant would require a second income, and you know that is not going to happen!!
Fully stocked laundry room for mad mothers like me who like to freshen up our clothes on holidays. Don’t worry, the iron will not see the light of day, but the washer and dryer will be on daily duty.
There is also a lovely outside pool area, I showed it to you yesterday. Boys said the water is a bit chilly, but I told them to suck it up, and stop splashing me with the freezing water!
