WhiteWater World, Gold Coast
What to do on an overcast day, with rain threatening while on holiday? Do something indoors like sensible people, or since you get wet anyway at a water park, you listen to your mad kids and go to WhiteWater World?
See the thing IrishDoom is climbing on? What would you call those things you put on your feet? Flip flops? Correct, unless you live in Australia. Here they call them thongs. Can you believe it? Evey time I hear some one say thongs I picture them wearing, you got it… thongs.. the undies type. Not a great mental image, especially when it’s a man!
Between each ride the boys took to the wave pool to heat up.
Unfortunately, there was a bully in a red top in there.
He tormented the boys,
and kept pulling them out of their tubes.
This park is smaller than Wet ‘n’ Wild that we did last year, but the boys enjoyed it just as much. You may remember last year the boys got tired out from carrying/rolling the huge tubes up to the top of the water slide before they could slide?
Well WhiteWater World has this sorted. Most of the rides here had automatic tube carriers. That saves some boy energy for even more rides, and more waiting around for mums. Maybe I prefer when they had to carry the tubes.
I love water parks. No, I am not super sporty, energetic, and a doer, running around with my kids, enjoying getting wet, and loving the thrill of the ride. I like this park to relax in, and people watch. When the boys mention me going on a ride or in the wave pool, I quickly remind them that if I get off the lounger, we could lose our spot. Oh, the things us mums do!
